You can be very good at your job and still have a terrible relationship with your own creative process.
Professionals learn to deliver. We learn to manage deadlines, clients, colleagues, revisions and risk. Eventually we can become highly effective at producing work without having much time to question how, why or for whom we're producing it.
And then something happens. A project stops making sense. The ideas aren't coming. You're technically capable but creatively bored. Or maybe you're about to change direction and have no idea what you actually want to make.
You don't necessarily need another software course. Or another productivity trick.
The project is sometimes not the problem
A designer may be struggling with a concept. An architect may be struggling with the role they've grown into. A creative director may have a team full of ability but no shared direction. The common thread isn't a lack of talent. It's the relationship between the person, their decisions and their work.
At Spatial Thinking, we call part of this Personal Process. It sits alongside Design Process, Everyday Process and Ideas Process. What you notice, what you value, what you avoid, what you've learnt and how you act all shape what you're capable of designing.
Creative Coaching is a different offer
Student Coaching exists to help students develop their projects and design process through education. Creative Coaching is for working architects, designers and other creatives who want to examine their direction, decisions, concepts and personal method.
It is individual, online coaching rather than therapy, and it doesn't promise to hand you a packaged identity or a perfect answer. The work begins with your own question and examines what might actually move it forward.
A 60-minute Creative Coaching session is $100. Four sessions are $375. The higher price reflects a distinct professional-focused offer, not simply Student Coaching with a different label.
Bring the difficult question
Bring the idea that no longer excites you, the project that won't resolve, the creative ambition you've postponed, or the direction you can't quite articulate. We can interrogate the assumptions underneath it and explore possible moves.
I care about producing better work. But I also care about the person becoming capable of producing that work, long after the coaching ends.
